About

FoodPHILIPPINES is a branding initiative of the Center for International Trade Expositions & Missions (CITEM) that reinforces
the image of the Philippines as a source of quality food products derived from fresh, healthy, and natural ingredients.

Under this national brand, the Philippines is positioned as Asia's most exciting sourcing destination for food exports, being
one of the world's top exporters of fresh fruits and marine products.

FoodPHILIPPINES unifies the promotional efforts of the government in overseas trade exhibitions and events to project
one brand, one image, one voice.

Currently on its 42th edition, the Winter Fancy Food Show is the West Coast’s largest specialty food and beverage event organized annually by the US-based Specialty Food Association (SFA).

In 2016, the 41th WFFS had a record-breaking1,500 exhibitors showcasing the latest in specialty foods and beverages from 28 countries and the US. Exhibit space occupied 215,000 sq. ft. (20,000 sq.m.), enough to fill more than four football fields with food.

The 20,000 visitors from all over the world attended the event representing a 16% increase from 2015 and generated around $109B worth of sales and orders.

Specialty food products exemplify quality, innovation, and style. Their originality, authenticity, ethnic or cultural origin, specific processing, premium ingredients, limited supply, distinctive use, extraordinary packaging, and specific channel of distribution or sale give them high value and premium price.
