The Tokyo International Gift Show (TIGS) is the largest trade show in Japan, occupying approximately 84,360 square meters of exhibition space, at Japan’s largest exhibition center, Tokyo International Exhibition Center (Tokyo Big Sight). It features a diverse selection of Japanese and globally manufactured products from the Home, Fashion and Lifestyle sectors.

Established in 1976, TIGS is held semi-annually, Spring and Autumn, with an average turnout of 200,000 local and overseas buyers/visitors and 2,500 local and overseas exhibitors.

This Spring 2016 edition is themed, “Success Through Globalization-Model Manufacturing,” featuring a total of 44 product categories. It is officially supported by 27 embassies, national trade organizations and business groups including the Japan Department Store Association, Japan Chain Stores Association, and Japan Retailers Association. Thirtee n design associations in Japan also support this event which will be participated by 30 companies from ASEAN with 6 main states (Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand) participating under the ASEAN-Japan Center (AJC) pavilion and 4 other states (Cambodia , Lao PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam) under the Japan Institute of Design Promotion’s (JDP) Mekong Design Selection booth.

The show will be concurrent with 7 other trade shows on food and dining; art and graphic design; fashion
and jewelry; sports, healthcare and fitness; small and medium enterprise goods; and a Disney exposition.
